On tap at the bocktown, it was advertised as a sour, I was disappointed. Somewhat sour smell but after that its some kindah hoppy thing. yes it is a golden strong but why is it advertised as a sour, clearly not. Decent head. yes, I would say there is a touch, just a touch of sourness in there, but WTF, it is not tart int he sour beer sense. false advertising. Biting hoppy thing, and the biting hoppy thing gets more intense near the finsh, certain lets you know its above 8%. finish is medicine. Look, if yoer looking for a strong beldgy ale, this is it, but its not a sour, wew, I think i’m getting dizzy.

Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a hazy apricot color with a small foamy yellow-white head that left decent lacing. The aroma was tangy and sweet table sugar and bread dough. The flavor was tangy and sweet table sugar, tart pear, a hint of apricot, bread dough and hints of alcohol. Long tangy bread dough, table sugar and bear finish. Moderately full bodied. Very nice.
