500ml bottle [from Xmas-beer trade with Graham - thank you!]. Clear, amber-ish ruby colour with average, thick, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, off-white head. Xmas-spicy aroma, notes of allspice, slight ginger predominance. mellow malty background. Taste is slightly dry, spicy, now clove-dominated notes of allspice, malty background with subtle sweetness, minimally soapy interference. Nice.

Bottle in Oldmeldrum. It pours clear brown with a small beige head. The aroma is earthy, woody, brown bread, fruit cake, festive spice and toffee. The taste is dry, bitter, wood, leather, toasty grain, light tannin, fruit cake, spice, brown bread and earth with a drying and woody finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Fine enough for a festive ale.
0,5l bottle random location somewhere at the islands. Surprisingly good and puddingy.

330mL bottle, pours a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma is earthy and spicy, with stale ginger, British toasted malt, and earthiness. Flavour brings out a stale ginger and cinnamon character upfront, followed toasted malt and dry earthiness. Tastes very stale and off. Crap.

Bottle - Spice and toffee with some orange. Clear copper with a decent white head. Caramel, spice and with a bit of an herbal note.

Very clear amber, no head formation though. Has a mild pudding flavour, and quite hoppy, more than I’d like. The spices are mild. It’s almost like a winter dessert ipa. 2016 Advent.
