Poured up on tap at the Chandler Bjs yesterday where it showed a slightly hazy deep gold to copper body that supports a near white head. I had to make a special request just to get this in a glass that wasn’t frozen and sadly it took some doing to even find one. What the hell BJs. The glass that did arrive was a straight sided aroma killing tumbler like variant. Again, get a clue BJs. For the modest aroma what I was able to get was resiny citrus and pine hops along with faint malt sweetness. The taste starts with a very brief malt sweetened earthy candy like tea note that gets completely over run by bold bitter citrus hops and pine hops to the point of tasting a bit on the astringent side (but too light to take away from the experience). Midway the resiny hop bitterness peaks and then it stays pretty bitter and resiny with pine and grapefruit citrus notes right into the finish. Nice hop bomb for sure with plenty for a hop head like me.
