Draught @ Alibi. Light gold with slight haze. Light spicy hop nose. Bitter, with a light body but a fair bit of alcohol taste and chewy pale malt. This is an interesting study if nothing else, because the rice clearly leaves a lighter body, more alcohol, and yet there's still a decent chewiness and hop bitterness. Less residual sugar allows the hop dryness to come out a bit more than is usually the case with the IPAs out of Phillips these past couple of years. I'm not sure this is a repeat buy, but it's a fun study.

Bottle from The Gull, North Vancouver
Hazy blond colour, god head persistence. Light malt aroma, light sweat. Dry mouthfeel, the malt base is a bit crisp, but the flavour is not fully convincing; herbaceous character from the hops; the final is a bit pithy and metallic.
Not very well calibrated.
