Rye saison with barrel aged honey
Afterswarm was brewed with a large portion of flaked rye from Skagit Valley Malting. Bourbon barrel aged honey was added at the end of the boil and it was then fermented With one of our favorite house saison strains.

Touch of haze, sort of a copper-amber colour. Thin head. Mellow, honeyish, bit crackery. Kind of bland, aside from the boozy.

Pretty fun beer. On tap at the brewery. Pours a mostly clear yellow color with a medium white head. A big sweet honey and herbal nose. Light spicy rye, bigger sweet honey, husky sour mash type notes. Solid.

Draft pour at Holy Mountain. Pours a mostly clean, bright golden orange color. Plenty of rye notes. Some Belgian character. Cool constant. Not screaming with the honey, but it's there. Plenty of refreshment. Some wheat. Pretty good.
