While the Photon Squared label pays homage to physicists imaging a photon for the very first time, the liquid inside uses an MC² hop bill and yeast strain studied by Dr. Laura Burns, Omega Yeast’s Director of Research and Development. Her work studies the HZY1 gene in yeast and its interactions with proteins and hops to promote haze stability.
Photon Squared offers big notes of ripe mango, intense orange, papaya smoothie, and dank apricot, all tied together in a great mouthfeel and a blast of raw hops with a pointed bitterness to help round everything out.

Panda thanks to Cloin. A light haze on this gold beer, small bubbly pale cream colour head. Light palate, mildly dry, good fine minerally carbonation. Light bodied pale malts, a thin creamy sweetness and a fair bit of grain. Light cooling pine into mildly bitter- tangy citrus that is also slightly ripe. Light and semi dry finish. Tastes a little aged but, not unpleasant.

Can at home, from CraftCentral.ie, 07/08/2025.
Hazed orange to golden topped with a lasting white head.
Nose is bitter orange, grass, pineapple, citric tinged straw, papaya.
Taste comprises orange zest, grapefruit, grass, pineapple, mandarin, pine needle.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spiked with juicy come grassy hop bitterness.
Tidy enough DIPA.

16oz can from Brewers Haven. Hazy yellow pour, fizzy white head. Musty aroma with some tart citrus elements. Taste is light citrus, some caramel flavors coming through. Floral, grassy, candy, dry.

Pours murky light gold into a tulip. Soapy white head with little retention recedes to mottle surface. White smarties, tangerine and papaya aromas. Soft with sweet tangerine and papaya upfront turning to sweet dried apricot and golden syrup in the dry, medium length finish.
