Despite the struggles the queer community continues to face, we feel we're lucky to be alive when we are. In comparison to the cloaked lives our elders have had to live, we're so much freer to live open, visible, and authentic lives. This beer is a nod to those elders, with the name referencing the line from Lord Alfred Douglas' poem Two Loves, made famous by Oscar Wilde in a collection of poetry, later used as proof in the persecution and prosecution of his sexuality.
The Love That Dare Not Speak Its Name is a rich and roasty American stout. Brewed with a complex malt bill and classic U.S. hops Cascade, Chinook, and Simcoe, it's dark, inviting, and quite luscious for its approachable 4.7% strength.

Draft at Beererama, Eastbourne. Poured almost black in colour, with an everlasting frothy tan head. The aroma is roasty, light caramel, fake sugar. The flavour is moderate sweet and liquorice bitter, with a smooth, rich, roasty, light grassy, dry spicy hop, light liquorice bitter palate. Over medium bodied with soft carbonation.
