On the 28th August 1971, the UK's first LGBTQ+ demonstration was held at Trafalgar Square, led by the Gay Liberation Front Youth Group and the London Gay Teenage Group from the Campaign for Homosexual Equality. Their work and direct action changed lives and laid the foundation for the UK's Pride movement. It was colourful, loud, raucous, joyful, angry, and defiant. One placard seen on the day bore the message "Take a deep breath—the pansies are in bloom." And they've been in bloom ever since.

The Pansies Are In Bloom is a peach wheat designed for easy summer drinking. Expect notes of peach, wheat, and, er, peach! It's fruity, it's got a well-rounded body, and it's got a lovely head. Make of that what you will.

Keg at The Rake, Borough Market. Hazy yellow pour with a white head. Peach & apricot jam aromas. Very peachy, very apricot-y. Sweet jammy fruits, tinge of tartness. Good.
