Keg at The Hydrant, City. Slightly opaque brown. Aroma is malty with burnt caramel. So is the flavour. With added bitterness. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft carbonation. Long dry astringent finish.

Spotty off white head on a reddish brown coloured body.
Malt, toffee & jam aroma. Medium bodied, nicely carbonated on the tongue with a cloying back.
Malt, liquorice, plum & spiced tastes with a peppery finish.
That's a fair decent Dubbel.

Can thanks to my bro. It pours clear deep reddish - brown with a bubbly off-white head. The aroma is fragrant, spicy, warming clove, bruised banana, banana loaf, brown bread, star anise, some vanilla, dried fruits, raisin and sultana. The taste is dry, toasty, quite bitter actually, bitter - sweet, toasty spice fragrant, clove, peppery, star anise, grains of paradise, Christmas cake, raisin, sultana, glace cherry, fig, brown bread, some toasted nut and warming alcohol with a toasted spice finish. Medium+ body and moderate, fluffy carbonation. Maybe a touch too spiced, but it's quite nice nonetheless.

On tap at The Green Goddess, Blackheath Royal Standard. Reddish brown pour with a beige head. Nice nose of bonfire toffee, treacle, red apple, sweet spices. Taste is toffee apple, banana, more bonfire toffee, sweet spices. Heavy spicy sweet with a lightly bitter tang. Great stuff.

Clear reddish-amber beer, solid white head. Aroma is bready with a little spiced hop. Flavour is sweet, bready again, a touch of caramel, a bit of dried fruit, some apple, a dash of banana. Some warming, peppery spice which definitely lingers into the finish which I like. A very solid dubbel.
