Can picked up in Stoney. It pours oily jet back with a dissipating tan head. The aroma is rich roasted malt, sticky, plenty of vanilla, dried fruits, raisin, sultana, prune, toasted fruit cake, warming spice, figgy pudding and hot chocolate. The taste is firmly dry, dark roasted malt, slick, oily, bitter - sweet, plenty of chocolate, gateaux, nutty, praline, vanilla cake frosting, dried fruits, prune, plum, fig roll, toasted nut, nougat, double decker and bourbon biscuits with a dry, boozey finish. Fulsome body and moderate carbonation. Great depth of flavour. Tasty.
