Dark brown, thin head. Nice toffeeish malt nose with some spicy wood complexity. Cinnamon, sweet vanilla sugars, light wood...so much a dessert beer. Might want it a touch bigger but it had a nice sweetness to help carry the spice across the palate. Toasty finish, with more horchata-type notes and toffeeish malts. Going in, I wasn't expecting a spiced brew, but that's really what you get in the glass.
