Cask at Victoria, Derby. Pours a very dark reddish-brown with a small tan head. Not much of an aroma – just hints of malts and cola. In the mouth it is slightly sweet and juicy with a creamy texture, but also some underlying bitterness. Malts dominate at the start, but later liquorice, oats and hints of cola come through as well.. Some fruitiness in the finish. It’ OK but pretty boring.

5/8/2023. Cask at The Cherry Tree Beer Festival 2023. Pours clear dark brown with a small frothy off-white to beige head. Aroma is ashy, liquorice, roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, black treacle, oats. Moderate sweetness, medium roasted bitterness. Medium body, soft carbonation. Pretty decent.

Gravicask, 1/3 pint, shared with Finn at GBBF Winter '23. A bubbly, beige head resting over a jet black body, spotty lacing. Roasted earthy chocolate smell, inviting. Flavoured with chocolate malts and a backdrop of raisin. Roasted malt-driven end. Well bodied. Basic stout, more or less. (Burton upon Trent, 17.02.2023).

Delt med Rune på GBBF Winter i Burton-Upon-Trent. Delt med Rune på GBBF Winter i Burton-Upon-Trent. Svart. Skumring med litt farge. Aroma av lettrøstet malt. Smaken sjokolade. Tørr, lett bitter avslutning.

Black with a creamy-bubbly head and a sharp roasted aroma, but not high on flavour.

Cask at the Microbar Beer Festival, Manchester, 2013. Dark brown pour with a tan head. Meaty old aroma. A bit of coffee and dark chocolate in there too. Flavours of coffee, chocolate and a smidgen of licorice. Quite nice.
