Draft at the source. Dark brown, light beige head. Roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, campfire notes.

Salem breweries are competing for the least creative beer names, I see. Dark brown, roasty, toasty palate. Chocolatey, a balanced, straightforward no bullshit porter.

Sample at the tap room. Dark brown color with a medium beige head that diminishes steadily to a film. Small patches of lace. Smoked malt, coffee and hops in the nose. Medium body with a roasty malt and coffee character, with some earthy hops in the background. The finish is mildly smoky with a malty aftertaste. Decent overall.
