Castle in the Clouds is a Single Hop Triple IPA featuring Citra. Imagine flavors and aromas of every Citrus fruit on Earth: Candied Grapefruit Zest, Meyer Lemon, Orange Juice, Key Lime, Tangelo, and Clementines from start to finish. A fluffy, oat-heavy malt bill allows the hops to interplay off a pillow soft malt character.

(sample, can) Hazy yellow. Long lasting white head. Citrusy hops, sweet, malt, bitter, spicy. Medium-full body. Bitter finish. Ok.

16oz can from Tavour. Cloudy orange golden, thin, silky white head. Aroma is ripe fruit, melon and a touch of dank. Taste leads with the musty, dank, fruity hops, which then turns dry. Aspects of stone fruit, melon and tropical fruit. Creamy.

Almost completely opaque glowing yellow and straw coloured body with a thin, single centimetre tall just off-white head that's large-bubbled and fades quickly above the 95 per cent opaque, murky body. Aroma of funk, bread, resin, flowers, grapefruit, a dash of pine and some creaminess from lactose with yeast here, too. Full-bodied; Very large malt/wheat backbone here that shows a lot of depth and body, but the alpha acids and hop bitterness actually comes through at first along with some relatively pungent grapefruity and grassy notes that end with a solid sweetness from fruit and a touch of the lactose. Aftertaste is very rich from all the flavours here and it seems to be balanced quite nicely with a ton of both hops and malt with a nice fruitiness, some dryness and of course, noticeable alcohol, without a burn. Overall, executed nicely here and much better than I was expecting here - a great balance, nice fruits and dryness and good bitterness that sort of finishes as an older school IPA, definitely at Imperial Status! Great to try super fresh, just five days after purchase! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from The Beer Cave @ Bob's Sunoco in Callaway, Maryland on 10-May-2022 for US$5,07 sampled at my house here in Washington on 15-May-2022.
This is absolutely out of the top drawer! A citra TIPA! Creamy and diabolically smooth. Kinda wish I had another.
