Dark brown, roasty, fudgey...smoke not so much. Soft, touch of smoke, really nice malts, milk chocolate. Yum.

For some reason, I expected. A Cloudburst smoked beer would be over the top in every category, but much too my surprise, this was a mellow, toaaty, gentle, yet flavorful beer. Draft pour pint at Special Brews. Earned this one before Cloudburst tapped it, since they are still working on killing off the beer people voted in. The wrong beer! Cola brown pour, with an active, tan fizz head. A quiet, toaaty, bread malt aroma. Flavor is a gentle to moderate roast, softer mouthful. Not as much smoke as I expected, or even hoped, but a solid beer still. More chocolate than smoke, I’d say. A highly drinkable beer for the style. Good stuff.
