Manchester Beer Festival. Black but has a glow about it with an off-white head. Has a strange fusion of hops and roasted malts with a high bitterness finish.

Cask at NWAF 2012. Very dark, almost black, with an off-white to beige head. Hoppy aroma with some roasted notes, licorice, dark fruits and a hint of citrus and alcohol. Finishes quite dry. Decent BIPA.

Cask@Chorlton Beer Fest 2012. Thanks for sharing, Rune! Dark red amber body, foamy head. Roasted chestnuts, chocolate, grain and hints of spruce, prunes and plum. Didn’t expect the carbonation... (6.Jul.2012)

Cask-conditioned at the Cheshire Beeriodical, Seven Stars, Bristol October 2012. Near black with a slight, off-white head. Aroma of pine, berry fruits, chocolate and caramel. Flavour had some fruit cake, citrus and chocolate, with a lingering dry finish. Very good.

Half pint, very good amount, hand-pulled cask at Chorlton Beer Fest. Good looking with a deep rosewood coloured body topped by a lasting, fawn-coloured head. Aroma of chocolate malt and dark fruits. Taste of dark fruits and mid-sweet dark malts added by a little roastiness. Rounded bitter aftertaste. Pleasant, my best at the beer festival in Chorlton, 06.07.2012.
