Dark amber with a bubbly head. Hoppy aroma is woody and citrusy, with some chewy, toasty malts. Rich bitterness, lots of woody hop character, crystal malt toastiness and a bitter, woody-tasting finish.

Sample at the Great Divide Barrel Bar. Clear dark reddish-amber color with a medium off-white head that diminishes steadily. Aroma of floral hops, fruit and malt. Medium body with flavors of herbal hops, ripe fruit and earthy malt The finish is moderately bitter with a fruity hops aftertaste. Seems different than Stone’s version which isn’t a bad thing. Kind of a cool idea for Stone to share their recipe with different breweries too. Pretty good overall.

Taster at the barrel bar - had this before, before realizing it was rate able - clear Amber - I find this actually quite close to the original, but with much more spicy, herbal, green hoppiness to it - the expected bready and toasty caramel maltiness is there - hop profile creates and fruity notes up against the malt base - hoppiness is potent, green, fresh - I dig this.
