[2004 Vintage] Pours clear blonde. Strong boozy honey and a lot of floral notes on the nose. Flavour has lots of floral notes, oxidized honey. Very tart and dry, especially on the finish. Not a very good mead.

Vintage 2004. Bottle, pours a clear golden. Aroma is quite floral, with some oxidation, fermented out honey, and gentle sweetness. Flavour is tart, dry, and boozy, with plenty of acetone, oxidation, and fermented out honey. This isnโ€™t good.

Leftover pour from the fiulijnator cellar (vintage 2004 - thanks fiulijn - side by side with Idromele Oro). Clear gold with no head. Floral honey, but quite flat, dissipating very quickly, a touch of booze in there. Average.

Cloudy amber. Aroma has warn honey but is also slightly hot and slightly phenolic. Sweet up front but a touch of tartness as well makes for a rustic, muddled mead.

Corked bottle, from the producer; vintage 2004, 9 years old
The bottle has a small deposit; it pours a hazy dull amber color. Strong aroma of wildflower honey with some oxidization, light Alpine flowers. The mouthfeel is quite lean, itโ€™s semi-dry, it has some honey flavor, some oxidization, and a higher alcohol content apparently. I feel some liquorice in the end.
Rough.
