Clyde’s Ale is made for those who work hard and require a bold brew to relax at the end of a long day. Argus Brewery has created this ale using primarily British malts, hops and a classic British style yeast culture. Expect a deep copper color, full malt flavors and a robust hop character. It truly is an Extra Special Bitter.

An attractive hazy copper with a short lasting head of foam. I get a bit of caramel malt and grain but this leans more towards the grassy bitter hoppy side. Taste doesn’t improve my thoughts on this ESB at all. Over hopped and under malted. Mouthfeel fits the style. Dissapointing.

Bottle. Toffee malt, sour milk and hay aroma. Slightly hazy golden yellow with large light tan head. Lightly sweet toffee malt and moderately bitter lemon peel/grass flavor. Good body. Drinkable but mediocre.

Bottle: Cloudy amber with a small yellow-white head. Caramel, stale grain aroma. Caramel malt, and more of that stale-grain-bitter in the taste.... Dry, thin....leafy....tinny. Not a favourite.
