Growler from a trade with ketchepillar. Pour very dark brown with light brown head. Aromas of roasted malts, chocolate, and espresso. Sweet milk chocolate flavor with roasted malts and coffee. Full body with soft carbonation and a silky mouthfeel. Really nice! Thanks Sam.

Pretty much black. Dark brown head. Meaty, smoky, intense aroma. Rich and thick, the molasses comes through big time. Lots of sweet malts but also richly hopped. Burnt dark sugars, figs, molasses...intense malts and an inky finish with lots of burnt sugar character. Has all the intensity of a good impy, but with some style too.

On tap at GABF. Pours with a bit black body and a large deep brown head. Aromas are chocolate, rich, alcohol, light smoke, anise and tar. Flavors are a bit smokey, rich, thick, chocolate, anise, caramel, bready and a touch vinous. Rich with a light caramelization or melanoidin character. Medium bubbles, mouth-coatingly viscous. Well made. I really enjoyed this one!
