Very dark brown. Loose head. Grainy nose with crystal malt, light roast and a hint of chocolate. The oatmeal begins to emerge as it warms. Chocolate, light raisin, some oatiness. Deep espresso roast notes but as an accent, hey don�¿ndt overwhelm. A bit thin, some alcohol notes that distract rather than enhance, but this is a nice brew. Interesting post-script...the body is thicker and more fruit comes out when this is consumed after a Pilsner. Cool.
