Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - opaque black with a thin crema head. Nose - big coffee bean. Taste - more of the same. Palate -close to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a fairly good finish. Overall - the coffee being dominant makes it somewhat one dimensional.

Bottle from The Beerhive. Dark brown body with a medium tan head. Nice lacing. Aroma of coffee, rum and liquorice. Flavour of tangy plum, liquorice and black cherry. Medium to full body with a smooth texture. Light fizz. Lots of flavour and good drinkability.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours black with a warm tint of red and a creamy and lacing beige head. Sweet coffee roast in the nose. Rich, sweet body, vanilla coffee and a warming alcohol finish. Not a HUGE Imperial Stout but very easygoing. 160115

15.11.2014, 0,33l bottle @ home:
Nice light brown creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly rich and roasted, espresso, burnt caramel, grass, roasted grain, lactose, dark sugar, chocolate, dark malts, chili. Taste is kind of sour-ish, harsh sour coffee, grass, burnt caramel, chili, harsh vanilla, dark sugar, lactose, paper, sour grass, caramel pudding, chocolate. Medium bitterness, slightly sour-ish and watery mouthfeel. Kind of boring.

Bottle. An almost clear, dark brown beer topped by a diminishing finger-thick light beige head. The aroma is dominated by the coffee, nice coffee that is, with a pleaseant touch of dark chocolate in the back. There’s some burnt down bonfire and licorice as well. It’s medium bodied and soft on the palate, with some alcohol warmth. Quite dry, and a little bit low on carbonation. Coffee and dark chocolate flavor with a pleasant bitterness of both the hoppy and coffee-ish kind. There’s some grassy, fruity notes in the far back, and also hints of raisins and new leather. Lasting finish with coffee and dark chocolate. Overall, a nice one indeed, but it feels a bit one dimensional. Am a bit sorry I didn’t have any dark chocolate to go with this one as I’m sure that will heighten the experience, but I’m quite content anyway. 140918
