Dark brown colour. Powdery cocoa aroma. Decent toasty, nutty character. A bit thin, more porter-like.

NC on tap-pours a tan ring for a head and black color. Aroma is faint dark malt-licorice. Taste is dark malt/oat-licorice/anise/chocolate/dusty/roasty, secondary earthy hops bite. OK effervescence.
