Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear deep brown with a near white head that dissipates quickly to the edges. Aroma has a nice light roast and dark grain complimented by vanilla, cinnamon and ginger. Flavor has more ginger and cinnamon upfront that mellow into dark grains with a hint of roast and vanilla.

Bright, light brown. Fun nose - ginger, molasses, subtle clove, nutmeg, mace. Very appetizing. More harsh, though, on the palate with astringency from the abundant spice. Thankfully, there’s a nice molasses note underneath to help out.
