On tap at the brewpub, Rochester. Deep opaque brown-black body, thin tan head. Nose of cocoa, coffee, and licorice; dry. Dry body with ashy roast, cocoa, and black licorice. Not bad.

Pretty much black. Roasty, slightly nutty aroma. Thinnish body. Some roasted character. Slightly tart from the black malt. Coffeeish notes in the finish.
