Traditional black lager, medium-bodied with a slightly roasted flavor. A distinctive hop and roasted bitterness leads to a clean, dry finish.

(11/8/08) Draught sample at the brewpub in North Wales. Clear reddish-amber color. Weak aroma of malt and light toastiness. Sweetish flavor with some caramel. Light-bodied.

[At GABF 2004] A red-brown beer with a small light brown head. The aroma is of roasted malt and caramel, while the flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, which gives it a dry end, but the body is thin. An OK Schwarz bier.
