Black with thick creamy head. Aroma and flavour have a lot of bittersweet roasted malt. Very smooth and creamy texture. Some sweet notes and wood come through in the finish.

Bottle [thanks to RW80] @ home. Opaque black color, medium to full sized light brown head that lasts for quite a while and leaves good lacing. Aroma is malts, dark malts, some roast, some alcohol, light chocolate. Taste malts, alcohol, alcohol, lightly liquor. Well, not too bad. Bit alcoholic but ok.

0.33 l bottle from ’Dranken Melgers’, bottled in October 2015. Gushing! Clear, very dark brownish red to black with a massive, fluffy, quickly diminishing, light brown head. Slightly smoky, roasty-malty aroma of dark chocolate, coffee beans, cocoa, peat and licorice. Sweetish, slightly smoky, roasty-malty taste of dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee beans, ash and hints of dark cherries, followed by a medium long, roasty-bitter, peaty finish. Medium to full body, effervescent mouthfeel, lively carbonation. Quite tasty, but the gushing and the annoyingly heavy carbonation impair the pleasure a lot. This is a beer with real potential but it is crafted so poorly.
