Re-rate: Tap @ Brewpub: Dark brown, near black pour with a finger of creamy tan head. Nice, thick bits of sticky lacing. Roasty and chocolate notes in the aroma. Roast and cocoa flavor. Chewy mouthful. Probably was a little too excited the first rate (4.1!) and this is still a solid offering, but not out-of-the-park.

[At GABF 2004] A pitch black beer with a chocolate brown head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of chocolate as well as lesser notes of roasted malt. The flavor is lovely sweet and again with chocolate being most dominant. Hey - I want more of this.
