750ml bottle sampled at the DC Epic Sour Tasting 2014. Batch 976, bottled 3/26/12. Pours a clear, rootbeer brown with some cloudy white head. Nose is so typically JP, sour, wood pulp, sour dough, bread crust, some mild mold, grapefruit, a little spice. Flavor is slick, tart, more plum here, a little unripened plum, some soggy bread, a little vinegar, some chard stem. Mostly clean, lightly tart finish. A little bit gone.

Bottle received in trade. Thank you lionsandbeer! Pours tiny hazy golden with a frothy offwhite head that leaves lots of sticky lacing and trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is tiny sour and fruity with dark bread, ripe plums, raisins, hay, lemon juice, yoghurt and moist hay. Taste is slightly sour, tiny malty and fruity with dark bread, ripe plums, ripe grapes, moist wood, moist hay, lemon juice, lemon zest and hint of St. John’s wort. Mouthfeel is slightly dry, slightly tart, tiny watery and light bodied. Finish is slightly sour and fruity with dark bread, ripe plums, lemon juice, dark grapes, moist wood and moist hay. Drinkable but nothing fancy...
