Medium brown color, no head. Intense woody aroma. Lightly sweet malt taste, earthy and woody flavors. Crisp, dry finish.

Tap. Light brown in color with a large head. Very well balanced with a slight tilt to the malty side.

On tap at the brewery. Brown with off white head. Nice breadiness, some chocolate, cocoa, bit nutty, bitterish. Served way too cold though. Medium bodied.

On tap at McGillicuddy’s, Five Corners, Essex Junction, VT.
This was poured into a pint glass. I get what’s going on.
The appearance was a ruddy brown color with a bar pour’s kind of thin white head that dissipated fairly quickly. Stringy spider web lacing.
The aroma had some sweet to roasty bready malts flowing over some nutty sweet and roastiness.
The flavor has the sweet and roasty nuts up front with the bready sweetness, more so underneath. Sly bready sweet aftertaste sliding into the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a great sessionability about it. Moderate carbonation. Nice transition from tastebuds to tongue, feels good.
Overall, as a Munich dunkel lager, great job and worthy of having again.

Clear dark brown with an off-white head. The aroma has a bit of chocolate, roast malt and subtle hops. The flavor is well balanced, with a bit of roasty sweetness. Earthy light hops present for balance but in no way being the showcase. True to style, being sessionable, yet with a bit more flavor than a Pils or Helles.
