Conocida como Raüchbier (“cerveza ahumada”), es un estilo tradicional que aún conservan las antiguas cervecerías de Bamberg, Alemania, donde la malta es secada en hornos a leña. Es una cerveza de fermentación alta, liviana de cuerpo, de un suave color ámbar y un sabor ahumado agradable.

Bottle 355ml.Clear medium orange colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, sweet malt, light to moderate hoppy, grass, leather notes. Flavour is moderate sweet and light to light moderate bitter with a average to long duration, sweet malt. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20130617]

Bottled at Cruzat Beer House, Buenos Aires. Bronze colour, minimal head. Very fruity with plenty of honey melon. Light bodied with rounded mouthfeel. Phenolic melon flavour dominates the light woody smoke which comes out towards the finish. More odd than good.
