Cask at St Albans Camra Beer Festival held at the Alban Arena. Pours deepest brown towards black with a beige foam. Aroma: sweet malts, caramel, toffee, treacle, liquorice. Taste: moderate sweet and bitter, sticky, warming booziness, towards dry on the palate. Medium body with soft carbonation. Decent

Cask at the St Albans beer festival 2023. A thick dark mahogany brown coloured pour with a halo of magnolia head. Aroma is rustic sticky dark malts, treacle, liquorice, woody bark, boozy, bark. Spicy wood. Palate is semi sweet. Chewy malts, spicy, fine carbonation. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, chewy malts, raisin bran, bark, liquorice some warming alcohol.
