Bottle. Beer Central, Sheffield. Clear cola colour. Glossy topped, thin and dense, lasting, beige head. Nose has a whiff of savoury smoke. New leather. Red wine dregs with a tab end chucked in it. Hint of cherry. Hint of marzipan. Taste has a nice balance of tart fruit and slightly smoky, leathery bitterness. Medium body. Fairly dry. Light acidity. Foamy carbonation. Tart and a little bretty in the finish.

Keg at the Rusty Bucket, Eltham. Black pour with a beige head. Nose of black cherries, liquorice, red grape, blackberry. Flavours of fermented red grape(😁), liquorice, black cherries, raspberry ruffles chocolate, blackcurrant jam. Oodles of dark and red fruit in the finish. The initial taste made me ask 'what the devil's this?' but by Jove does it grow on you, lovely stuff!
