Mild smell of hops. Cloudy amber colour, extreme white head. Aroma of fruit, some hops. Quite fresh. Mildly bitter, medium sweet. Finishes with sweet. Very rich in taste considering the abv.

Bottle from the Red Squirrel Chesham Brewery Shop. Poured a pale golden colour with a light haze and a large, fluffy white head. Aroma of citrus, bready malt and candy sugar. Strong flavours of grapefruit, mango and some brown sugar. Finish had sharp citrus, hop resin and dry grain. An awful lot of flavour punch, considering the strength. Excellent!

Tap takeover at The Cask Pub & Kitchen, cask, half pint. Unclear, grey-yellow coloured body. Patches at the surface and dots to the glassware. Grapefruit nose, supported by a spicy touch. Fruity mix of grapefruit and pineapples to the taste buds. Smooth and dry bitter endnotes. Medium bodied. Pretty nice (London 12.08.2013).

Bottle shared with Ashton McCobb. As he notes, batch 13. Does this mean Weird Beard will have as many beers as Kernel in future? One thing they need to sort is their bottle-conditioning, as this was a near-gusher, and I struggled to pour the one bottle into two big glasses. Resulted in a murky looking pale beer. Aromas were mango, grapefruit, a bit soapy and no malt edge. Very dry.

50cl bottle from allmyvinyl. This was batch 13 actually which means it’s Summit/Mosaic/Citra. Appearance - very lively with a massive head. Golden underneath it with a slight haze. Nose - soft tinned mango with a soapy edge. Taste - dry and yeasty and lacking the mango fruit. Palate - quite a lot to it but less balanced. Overall - didn’t work for me.
