Nicely crafted ESB, bitter with some sweet, syrupy malt in the background. Nice lasting velvety head on a medium amber body. Sweet aroma, bitter taste. Very enjoyable.

Pours hazy orange with a small tan head. Aroma is butterish and toasted malty, creamy off white head. Toasted malty and light caramelish. Bitter and light grassy finish. I really like the lesser amount of hops. Well balanced and perfect food match with fish and chips.

The appearance was a dark red/ruby colored body also slightly transparent with a two finger white foamy head that dies at a nice pace, light lacing that tries to spider web but tends to kinda get a bit messy and all over the place; the aroma has a large amount of English malts that become more \"balanced\" like an English bitter normally does as it warms, I will admit I believe there’s some \"brown sugar\" starting to come through in the aroma; the taste is slightly malty like an English bitter should be, but not leaning towards the bitter or malty side; on the palate, its about a light to medium sort of body, slightly sessionable - only as any English bitter can be, carbonation runs really smooth around my tongue and mouth - gets kinda creamy; overall I say this is a good English bitter that I would have again

22 ounce bottle into pint glass, no bottle dating. Pours lightly hazy deep ruby copper color with a 2 finger fairly dense light khaki head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass. Aromas of caramel, toast, toffee, biscuit, orange zest, lemon zest, pear, apple, floral, grass, light pine, herbal, and floral/yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance of hop, malt, and yeast ester notes; with good strength. Taste of caramel, toast, toffee, biscuit, orange peel, pear, apple, nuttiness, floral, grass, pine, herbal and floral/yeast earthiness. Moderate earthy herbal/pine bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of caramel, toast, biscuit, nuttiness, orange zest, pear, apple, floral, grass, herbal, light pepper, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance and complexity of malt, hop, and yeast ester flavors; with nice robustness, malt/bitterness balance, and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a lightly creamy, smooth, and moderately crisp mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a slight warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice ESB style. All around good balance and robustness of malt, hop, and yeast ester flavors; and very smooth to drink. A very enjoyable offering.
