On tap at Shelter, DC. Deep copper, off white head. Malty caramel, bready, sweetish, unfortunately not easy drinkable for me. Light to medium bodied.

Big oak. Like really big oak, especially on the end kick. Murky brown pour with decent head. Some rust and caramel. Tap at Shelter.

Sampled at the roost pours a clear brown with some creamy, Grey head. Nose has soggy crackers and bread, malt and yeast, something earthy lurking. Flavor has caramelized carrots, malt, some sumac, yeast, definitely some spice, like nutmeg. Dry finish, earthy. 7 4 7 3 13
