Our big, bold shout-out to Spokane, this copper-colored ale is our most complex offering. Munich and Crystal malts lay down a supportive body, while Chinook and Cascade — our favorite Washington-grown hops — bring the citrus and piney flavors (plus Northern Brewer for a hint of mint). We dry-hop with Cascade and CTZ for bigger hop aromas that enhance an immensely satisfying IPA.

An excellent example of a NW IPA. Deep amber with thick, fluffy beige head. Heady aroma of malt first, then hops. Hops take over on taste, smooth bitterness, slightly dry finish, All the way around a great example of how IPA should be done.

Reviewed from notes.
The appearance had a somewhat hazy but more of a clear amber body with a one and a half finger white foamy head that rises a bit and falls leaving some sticky lacing in the wake.
The smell had a bitter citrus hops up front but a nice bready/maltiness angles in to also give a bit of a floral/piney-ness as well.
The taste had a sweet yet bitter combination of hops to bready maltiness, also gets a bit orangey, aftertaste is exactly the same, dry finish.
On the palate, it sat about a light to medium, sessionable, carbonation is good for the style and good for me.
Overall, I’d say this is a pretty good AIPA, just a tad maltier than most AIPA’s but still worthy of another purchase.

Robert brought this one back from a trip to Washington. +++ Sampled from a 22 oz brown bottle this beer poured a cloudy orange-caramel color with a medium sized foamy off white head that left a bit of lacing. The aroma was bitter, tart and piney with notes of orange and other vague fruity hops. The flavor was bitter and tangy orange, pine and pepper. Long bitter and tangy orange, pine and pepper finish. Moderately full bodied. Solid.

On tap at the Alibi Room, pours a fairly clear amber orange with a medium beige head. Aroma of light pine, metallic notes and earthy malt. Flavour brings out fresh piney hops, some floral notes, and earthy malt. Really well-balanced and more pleasant flavours than aromatics. Good stuff.

22 ounce bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating. Pours fairly hazy deep orange copper color with a 2 finger dense and rocky light khaki head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Spotty foamy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of big orange peel, grapefruit, tangerine, orange rind, floral, grass, caramel, pine, and floral earthiness. Very nice aromas with big citrus hop presence and moderate malt balance; with good strength. Taste of grapefruit, orange peel, tangerine, orange rind, floral, grass, pine, caramel, bread, and floral earthiness. Good amount of floral/pine bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, orange peel, orange rind, floral, grass, pine, caramel, bread, and floral earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance and complexity of citrus/pine hops with a moderate malt balance; with zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a lightly creamy, crisp, and moderately sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice IPA. All around good complexity of citrus/pine hops and moderate malt balance; and very smooth and crisp to sip on. A very enjoyable offering.
