A robust red ale brewed with Crystal and Munich malt to give it a distinctive red hue in the glass. A good percentage of Rye malt in the recipe lends another spicy, peppery dimension.
Liberal use of late Centennial and Willamette hops lend a wonderful punchy northwest US hop character, giving citrus-pine aromatics to balance the bold, spicy malt backbone.

Cask at Crossways Inn at West Huntspill in Somerset. Pours clear amber with a beige cap. Spicy rye, caramel, grapefruit. Light sweet with light hop bitterness. Medium body with soft carbonation. Not too bad.
