Growler from Hop City, Krog Street Market. Light hazy yellow, with a big, off-white head. Nose is straw, honeysuckle, white bread, and a touch of banana and biscuit dough. Sweet and floral, with a light bitterness. Light body, chewy, grainy, and effervescent. Overall, this is a pretty nice, light and drinkable beer, but lacks the complexity and yeastiness that would make a good saison.

22oz bomber pours with a clear deep gold body that has thin copper hues and supports a thin near white head. The modest aroma offers up sugary malts, a dash of saison yeasty spices, sweet apple, apricot and pear fruity esters. The taste is pretty smooth and sweet with sweet fruity esters and sugary like malts and then it gets into a modest degree of spicy yeasty notes. To midway and into the finish this picks up a mild blend of honey and brown sugar dusted earthy pineapple. Hmmm. Saison?
