Finally finally finally getting a chance to try this after lots of years of missing it. YES! It poured up on tap at the brewpub where it exhibits a murky deep copper body that supports a nice looking light tan head. The aroma offers up sweet malts, some nectar sweet maltiness, molasses and then snippets of malt and sweetness muted pine hops and floral notes. The taste is silky smooth and sweet and wonderfully rich. I get slick nectar sweet malts and then some malt and molasses nuanced pine hoppiness that is bitter but delivers only a thin ribbon of resiny notes. In the background it seems floral hoppy as well midway and into the finish. Yummy.
