12oz can pours with a dark amber body that supports a thin dark tan head. The aroma offers up smooth smelling molasses, brown sugar, dates and prunes followed by brown sugar dusted dates into the end of the draw. The taste delivers a pleasing mix of brown sugar, plums, dates and a surprising hint of smooth yet subtle smokiness. It then thins out a tad even as a soft wheat note murmurs to the surface. Fun beer.
