Draught @ [ DOE - Olfestival Kobenhavn 2013 ] @ Tap1, Ny Carlsbergvej 91, 1760 Copenhagen, Denmark.Clear medium to dark brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, sweet malt, earthy. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, earthy, caramel, sweet malt. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20130523]

Draft. A dark brown beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of hops, malt, caramel, and alcohol. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel, alcohol, burnt wood, and straw.

Sample @ DØE. Huge head with excellent duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are candy sugar, roast malt, chocolate, coffee and hops.

Draft @ DØE Ølfestival 2013. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty caramel and chocolate aroma with weak hints of dark fruit. Roasted malty chocolate and licorice flavor with weak earthy hoppy hints. Has a roasted malty chocolate and licorice finish.

Draught@CPH BF 2013. Pitch black colour with a small brown head. Aroma is liquorice, alcohol, some roasted malts as well as some toffee. Flavour is roasted malts, liquorice, alcohol, toffee and mild sugary notes. Quite big roasted finish.

100ml from tap at the Fermentoren exhibition stand at København Ølfestival 2013. Clear, dark with a reddish glow. Fine lacing down the glass. Earthy malts and dark leafs to the nose. Good taste of leafy hops, coffee, and grain added by a basement touch. Bittersweet roasted ending. Pleasant brew (Copenhagen, 23.05.2013).

Draught at KØ13. Black colour, seems hazy. Small stable tan head. The flavour is roasted and creamy. Late bitterness. The mouthfeel is not so great for the style.

From tap. Pours pitch black with a small off white and tan head. Aroma is roasted malty and light breadish. Breadish, roasted malty, bitter and dark chocolate. Dry and roasted into abitter finish.

DØE. Very dark brown with small beige head. Aroma is roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, little dusty and a little liquorice. Flavour is roasted malts, chocolate, little coffee, medium sweet, little dry, caramel, hop, little liquorice and a little bitter.
