Cask (gravity) @ EBF15 2013, 15th Egham Beer Festival, Egham United Services Club (EUSC), 111 Spring Rise, Egham, Surrey, England TW20 9PE.Clear dark black brown color with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, burnt, light coffee, light pepper. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, dark roasted, peppery, sweet malt, sweet roasted, wood notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. Cask gravity @ Egham BF XV. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty chocolate and molasses aroma. Roasted malty bitter chocolate spicy flavor. Has a roasted malty chocolate and licorice spicy finish.

Gravity dispense at EBF XV, 08/08/13. Pitch black with a thin dirty tan head. Nose is roast malt, earthy, mineral notes, light chocolate, burnt sugars. Taste comprises light roast, bitter chocolate, earthy, dark fruits. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry roasty finish. Ok stout.

Cask-conditioned at the Three Tuns, Bristol 8/8/2013. Dark brown with a slight tan head. Roasted malts, dark chocolate and a touch of molasses with a dryish finish. Good.

From cask. Pours pitch black with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted malty and breadish to liqourice. Bitter, roasted malty, breadish and liqourice. Dry and roasted malty into the finish.

Cask at the Cock Tavern - London. Pours deep brown with a fine, creamy beige head. Nose holds plenty of ashy roast, subtle cocoa, coffee grounds. Light sweet flavor with well toasted bred, lightly bitter baking cocoa, some earth, ash, coffee. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Mild sweetness to finish, soft cocoa, light bitter earth and coffee. Nicely balanced stout.

Cask at The Craven Arms, Birmingham. Poured a deep mahogany with a broken off-white head. The aroma is weak roasted malt, leading to a medium bitter flavour with lots of roasted malt, chocolate, coffee and liqourice on a smooth palate.
