[5/1/13] Draught at Mikkeller Bar in Copenhagen. Dark brown with a beige head. Aroma of malt, licorice, some weird fruitiness and nutty notes. Sweetish malty flavor, a bit roasty, with a bitter finish with some hoppy notes. Medium-bodied.

Draft at Standard market. I had memories of the E-Ville Imperial Porter Tim made at Rock Bottom Yorktown. This is not that. This is a deep brown, served in a shaker glass, with a thin porter style head. Nice nose of warmly roasted malt. The taste is where the hops appear: Mostly piney, but in enjoyable proportions. Odd little thread of Coca-Cola at moments, part of its complexity. Citrus hop notes later on. But this seems to mostly plays up its malts, with some raisin over a bit of graininess. Lingering malty aftertaste.
