Produced in 2010: This is a celebration of our fifteenth year making craft beer and it stands as an example of the bold flavorful beers that we have come to make. This is not a timid ale; it’s an intense, full-bodied smoke experience. Fifteen has a rich flavor profile balancing notes of dark roast, burnt toast, and spicy rye with a deep earthy aroma of smoke and wood. 12 ounce bottle. Pours a very nice jet black color with a small beige head. The aroma is sweet dark fruit and some light smoke. This is a rich brew with loads of Impy character, some roast and lots of dark fruit, caramel, light metal, smoke, but not a ton of smoke. Certainly I don’t see this as a Smoked beer but a Imperial Stout with some smoke. Very good. I’m digging this, some char and rich roast. Vanilla.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a nice dark brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma consists of light smoke and dry roasted malt with light notes of black chocolate. Taste is also a nice mix between some notes of smoke though not as dominant as expected with some dry roasted malt and some subtle chocolate notes. Body is quite full with a somewhat of a creamy texture and good carbonation with no apparent alcohol. Very tasty though I bet this would have been better had it been fresher with more smoke presence.

12 fl oz bottle. Pours dark brown to black with a small tan head. Aroma is mild smoked and roasted dark malty. Light meaty. Mild smoked, toasted malty and meaty flavoured. Light salty touch. Bitter, dark malty and roasted finish.

Bottled. A pitch black beer with a dark brown head. The aroma has notes has notes of roasted malt, alcohol, smoke, and wood. The flavor is sweet with notes of alcohol, soy sauces, roasted malt, wood, smoke, and soy sauce, leading to a dry woody finish.

12 ounce bottle into snifter. Pours thick opaque black color with a small, fairly dense 1 finger dark tan head with good retention, that reduces to a thin lacing cap that lasts. A small amount of lacing sticks to the glass as well. Aromas of big charcoal, oak, roasted malt, chocolate, vanilla, and a bit of coffee. Aromas of smoked meat were present as well as it warmed up. Very nice and strong aromas here. A lot of complexity. Taste of huge chocolate, caramel, smoke, coffee, vanilla, and tons of roasted malt. Lingering notes of bitter coffee, smoke, chocolate, and roasted flavors on the finish that last a while. Light carbonation and huge full body. The mouthfeel on this beer is heaven. Super creamy, smooth, and as drinkable as a beer of 11% could be. This beer is super rich, without being boozy at all. Alcohol is hidden perfectly in this, I am not really noticing any except for a slight warming on the finish. Overall, and absolutely incredible smoked imperial stout from Weyerbacher. I will be grabbing more if I see it around for sure.

12 oz. bottle, sent from Glouglouburp (thanks Dany), split with Matts_Property, pours pitch black with a ring of tan / light brown head. Aroma is quite smokey, though not overburdening, with roasted malt, burnt espresso and subtle, unsweetened dark cocoa. Flavour reveals considerable smokiness / peat, bourbon barrels, wood, rich roasted malt, finishing with a smokey booziness and wood barrel quality. Most wonderful, especially for a style I'm not unusually overly fond of.
