Produced in 2010: This is a celebration of our fifteenth year making craft beer and it stands as an example of the bold flavorful beers that we have come to make. This is not a timid ale; it’s an intense, full-bodied smoke experience. Fifteen has a rich flavor profile balancing notes of dark roast, burnt toast, and spicy rye with a deep earthy aroma of smoke and wood. Bottle. Aroma of chocolate, café au lait, cream, and wood. Black with lace. Flavor of sweet cream, vanilla, chocolate, coffee, and smoke. Bitter burnt and hoppy finish. Sweetish. Smoky. Nice but not all that special.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured thick, black and oily with a medium sized foamy dark brown head that lingered and left great lacing. The aroma was hickory, toasty malty and a hint of cocoa. The flavor was bitter with hickory and smoke followed by tart and tangy vague fruits that then led to a strong malty presence with moderate cocoa and whiskey. Waves of flavor washed over. The finish was long with hickory, fruit, cocoa and a bit of a meaty undertone. Amazingly thick, full and creamy body. Nice.

12 oz bottle. Pitch black in color with a thick, oily pour. Head is thick and mocha colored with very light / no carbonation. Aroma of roasted malts, licorice, and just a whiff of smoke. Good roasty flavor with chocolate malt and just a hint of light smoke. Very nice stout to enjoy after dinner. Get a bottle before its gone.

12 oz bottle. Was a bit skeptical at first since I’ve had bad experiences with smoked beers in the past, but gave this one a try. Aged it for just a few months before cracking into it. Poured a dark black color with a brown head. Aroma was roasted malts, smoke, coffee notes. Flavor was smoky, roasted malts, coffee hint. Almost a bacon smoky character, interesting. I’m glad the smoke didn’t overpower this one.

bouteille. Brune foncée, mousse est fine pétillante et de couleur moka. Le tout laisse un fin filament doré sur le verre. Arôme de malt fumé et chocolat. Caché derrière tout cela, je note au nez un peu de tourbe/terre avec des notes de sèches de malt noir grillé et bois. Palais est réchauffant, avec un palais bien malt et chocolat suivit de superbe note fumée. Le seigle rajoute un peu d’épice au palais et ce duvet de grains qui est toujours agréable. En arrière goût, je note des fruits noirs/bois qui se mélangent avec un côté de malt et café. Le fini garde cette note de tourbe avec un goût épais de chocolat et de malt fumé. Le malt fumé n’est pas aussi présent que dans d’autres bières mais reste bien appréciable.

Bottle. Pours black with a brown head that dissipated quickly to the edges. Aroma is quite smokey with lots of roasted malts and a bit of rye and coffee underlying. Flavor is quite smokey as well with a strong roasted note and a bit of spice as well as coffee in the finish.

Black with just the faintest dark brown head. Deeply roasted malts, medium smoke, dark fruits, wood, and spices in the aroma. Full and thick. Smoky, dark roasted, wood, a nit of spice, earthy, and booze. FInish is long with a lingering campfire smoke and hot, but well hidden and balanced alcohol. A real nice beer for this bitter cold night. Went great with a chocolate cookie, too.

12oz bottle-thanks decaturstevo for the share and figuring out how to start the day with a rememberance of our country’s feet hitting the ground in SE Asia-pours a brown head with black color. Aroma is roasty dark malt/oat-peat. Taste is smoke/ashy-dark malt, 2nd earthy hops. Not my style, but quite enjoyable.

Pours dark brown/black with light brown head. Light smokey aroma that’s not too overpeowering. Also some roasted malts and chocolate. Flavors of dark fruits, roasted malts and sweet chocolate with a hint of smoked meats and rye. Full body with soft carbonation and a slick, oily mouthfeel.
