Наша темная душа провела достаточно времени в заточении и помимо плотного и тягучего тела, успела обрести изящное сходство с лучшими представителями островной школы виски.

Копчено-торфяные ноты верно, но аккуратно вплетаются в стройные ряды темных сухофруктов, приправленных нежнейшей карамелью.

Can sample at a Max's tasting at his place. Cloudy orange. Malt, tomato soup note, some fruitiness, sweet and umami, phenolic smokiness, caramel, alcohol.

330ml can from In Pivo Veritas in Moscow. Pours hazy gold with a small off-white head. Aroma is dried fruit, smoke, caramel. Taste is light sweet, smokey, malty, dried fruit. Warming bitter finish. Full-bodied. Interesting beer, heavily smoked, haven’t encountered that in a barleywine before.

Appearance: Cloudy deep gold, small white head. Aroma and taste: Biscuit, caramel, smoke, dried fruit. Medium sweet. Low to light bitterness. Mouth feel: full body, soft carbonation. Overall: Pretty good. Some more hop would do better.

Can 33 cl. Hazy golden amber color, weak yellow foam. Aroma: expectedly sweet, candy, toffee, caramel, light dried fruits, smoked on peat malt, a bit of Islay whisky. Taste: sweet, wine, candy and light sugar molasses, toffee, candied fruits and dried apricots, jam from light fruits, bitter finish, smoked whisky, warming. Not bad.
