On tap @ Crowbar. The head is just refusing to let go on this one. Everlasting head in the words full meaning. It has a deep cloudy brown, almost on the border of murky-brown body and as I mentioned that head is just really big, impressive, dark beige almost brown in color and it's refusing to let go. It's also lacing the glass down beautifully. Have to admit that I was hoping for a strong and powerful chocolate aroma on this just based on the looks, but it's surprisingly low on the nose. I get a little bit of dark caramel, it has a very sweetness and traces of dark malts and cardboard. The mouthfeel is light oily while the carbonation is really mineral watery and almost lively. Not real sweetness in the taste. It's actually quite dry and I would actually say on the verge of a infection. There is a faint acidity going on here and it's as mentioned super dry. More cardboard, some red sourced berries and a slightly yeasty flavor in the finish. 16.10.2013

At Copenhagen Beer Festival, May 2013. Cloudy brown with a small off-white head. Malty aroma with caramel, and some citrus. Sweetish malty flavour with citrus hops and a very bitter finish

Draught @ [ DOE - Olfestival Kobenhavn 2013 ] @ Tap1, Ny Carlsbergvej 91, 1760 Copenhagen, Denmark.Clear medium amber red - brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate to heavy hoppy, citrus, orange - citrus, light grapefuit, fruity. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, caramel - mild muscovado sugar, fruity, hoppy. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20130523]

Medium brown head. Opaque brown body goes muddy brown at edges. Minty herbal toothpaste aroma. Dry, very faintly acidic, roasty minty earthy taste with coffee grounds notes. Mid-to-light body. Sharpish, mealy mouthfeel. Dry earthy black chocolate and cold coffee aftertaste with minty notes. Odd and unusual, but nice. (0.2l draft at Crow Bar, Oslo.)

(Draught at Örsted Ölbar, Copenhagen, 11 July 2013) Reddish brown colour with creamy, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of blood orange, roasted malt and caramel. Malty, fruity taste with blood orange, caramel, orange peel and a generous spicy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with balanced sweetness. Nice one.

On tap at Crowbar. Dark brown colour with a beige head. Aroma is hop, caramel, roasted malt, fruit. Flavour is hop, caramel, roasted malt, fruit. Medium body. Nice beer.

Draft @ DØE Ølfestival 2013. Pours a brown color with a small off-white head. Has a roasted malty aroma with hints of hops and caramel. Roasted malty licorice chocolate flavor with hints of caramel. Has a roasted malty licorice caramel finish with weak hoppy hints.

Draught @ Gastropub Nordic
Aroma is quite hoppy with coffee notes and gooseberry bush. Flavour is hoppy with roasted notes, some nuts and coffee. Finishes with some vegetable notes. A brown ale on the hoppy side, reminds me of Jackie Brown.

100ml, tap at ØK 13. Coal dark body colour, a bubbly ring to the rim of the surface. Inviting hop fruity aroma sustained by a little spices. Fresh fruity taste, leafy dry, followed by caramel malts. DØE. Unclear brown with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and moderate hoppy - grapefruit. Flavor is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish. 230513
