Bottle which is just labelled ’Black IPA’, no mention of ’Sitrius’. I assume this is the same beer. Same 5.5% abv. Opaque black - brown beer with a big pale tan head. Palate is light and crisp. Minerals. The dark malts are quite light in presence but their is a little roast bitterness. Good piney hops provide balance before the dark malts turn a little tangy. Crisp semi dry finish. Pretty good, light and drinkable.

Bottle 500ml.Clear dark black brown colour with a large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, chocolate, moderate to heavy hoppy, citrus, licorice, orange - citrus, leather notes. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, licorice, dark malt, hoppy and malt. Nice ;O) Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20130329]
