Big, chocolaty and smooth describes this Russian Imperial Porter and probably Barry White, but I digress. A memorial beer for our beloved Doogan. We don’t actually know who Doogan is but someone wrote RIP Doogan in the men’s bathroom on the crapper. We, being sensitive and caring brewers thought this to be a wholly inappropriate tribute to the memory of this "Doogan". So we named this beer after the dearly departed Doogan, God rest his/her/its soul.

On tap. Opaque dark brown - close to back - with a creamy light brown head. The nose is rich in Bourbon with the usual soft vanilla notes and licorice allsorts that pretty much overpowers the malt profile. Decent but not a HUGE body, again sweet licorice allsorts and plenty of vanilla and Bourbon and some cocoa. Distinct alcohol burn. 181210

Draft. A black beer witih a thin brown head. The aroma has notes of wood, roasted malt, alcohol, and a bit of brettanomyces. The flavor is sweet with notes of oxidation, roasted malt, metal, and alcohol, leading to a dry, oxidized, and alcoholic finish.
